What to lock down between a buyer's "yes" and the first paid, delivered order. Every other stage of landing a wholesale account has a guide — pitching, following up, pricing. Almost nothing covers the 48 hours right after a store agrees to a first order, which is exactly when founders get sloppy on the details that determine whether it ever becomes a reorder.

This checklist covers: setting payment terms in the same conversation as the yes (not after), sizing a first order small on purpose, a full pre-send invoice checklist, on-time delivery as a trust deposit, a gentle-but-direct template for a late payment, and the reorder check-in habit that turns a one-time sale into a reordering account.

What's inside:

  • A 6-step checklist for the window between "yes" and the first delivery
  • A gentle payment-reminder email template for a late invoice
  • Guidance on sizing a first order so a slow seller doesn't sour the account
  • The reorder check-in cadence that gets ahead of the buyer running out

Instant digital download. Honest scope: this comes from our own invoicing experience running a small beverage brand's wholesale accounts — we're not accountants or lawyers, and nothing here is tax, legal, or accounting advice. Your payment processor and buyer mix will differ.

→ Set your wholesale price first — The Wholesale Pricing Cheat Sheet ($9).
→ A stage earlier, waiting to hear back after a sample drop? The 72-Hour Post-Sample Playbook ($7).

Want all the guides? The Complete Indie Retail Toolkit ($29) covers the earlier stages — this one's the newest addition and isn't in the bundle yet.
