Where to Find Sweet Mango Splash in Virginia: The Shops Carrying It Now

By Rob DeMariano, founder of Robby Ds Lil Greens — from the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia

Quick answer: Sweet Mango Splash — the mango drink with a broccoli-and-greens functional blend, from Robby Ds Lil Greens in the Shenandoah Valley — is on the shelf at 18 independent shops and cafés, most of them in the northern Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. In Virginia you'll find it at Dusty's Country Store and Ruby Yoga in Front Royal; The Giving Tree and The Apple House in Linden; New Town Mercantile and Daily Buzz Cafe in Stephens City (Daily Buzz is in Middletown too); Your Pure Store, West Oaks Farm Market, Geraghty's Micro Farm, Fleur de Lis Cheese Shop, Timber's Cafe and Uncle Beehive's Ice Cream in Winchester; Shen-Val Farm Market in White Post; Half Past Moon Coffee Buzz in Marshall; and Off the Grid in Sperryville. Just over the line in West Virginia: Good Natured Collective in Martinsburg and Bushel & Peck in Charles Town. One door is further out — Three Rivers Market, a food co-op in Knoxville, Tennessee. You can also buy it direct at four weekend farmers markets, or have it shipped anywhere in the U.S. from robbydslilgreens.com.

People in the Valley keep asking me the same practical question after they try a bottle at a market table: "Okay — where can I get this without driving to a market on a Saturday?" Fair question. So here's the straight answer, kept current: the actual shops that stock Sweet Mango Splash right now, plus the two ways to get it if you're not near one of them.

I'd rather give you a short, true list than a long, padded one. Every shop below has bottles on the shelf as of the date on this post. If a store isn't listed, it's because it isn't carrying it yet — not because I forgot.

The shops and cafés carrying it now

Takeaway: Sweet Mango Splash is stocked at 18 independent shops and cafés — the bulk of them in and around Front Royal and Winchester, Virginia, with two just over the West Virginia line and one food co-op in Tennessee. All independently owned; no big chains.

Front Royal, VA

  • Dusty's Country Store — 216 E. Main Street. A country store on historic Main Street carrying made-in-Virginia foods. If you're downtown, this is the easiest grab-and-go spot.
  • Ruby Yoga — 205 E. Main Street. Front Royal's longest-running yoga studio, with cold bottles in the cooler after class.

Linden, VA

  • The Giving Tree. A family-run shop on John Marshall Highway, just east of Front Royal, stocking local Shenandoah Valley goods.
  • The Apple House — 4675 John Marshall Hwy. The restaurant and gift shop right off I-66 exit 13, open since 1963. Easy stop if you're coming over the mountain.

Stephens City & Middletown, VA

  • New Town Mercantile — 5359 Main Street, Stephens City. A mother-and-son mercantile with its own coffee, local farm goods and small-maker products. One of the shops that reorders it regularly.
  • Daily Buzz Cafe — Stephens City & Middletown. A family-owned coffee shop and smoothie bar with two locations (114 Elizabeth Dr, Stephens City and 7815 Main St, Middletown). Both serve it, so you can grab a cold bottle with your coffee.

Winchester, VA

  • Your Pure Store. A small independent wellness shop that leans toward clean, simple products. They've kept it on the shelf and reordered it steadily — the honest signal that matters, since a store only restocks what its customers come back for.
  • West Oaks Farm Market. A working farm market on the edge of town.
  • Geraghty's Micro Farm. A micro-farm stand run by growers, which is a fitting home for it.
  • Fleur de Lis Cheese Shop — 15 Fairfax Street. Cheese and specialty foods in the old town walking district.
  • Timber's Cafe — 611 W. Jubal Early Drive. American grill and comfort-food café.
  • Uncle Beehive's Ice Cream — 500 W. Jubal Early Drive, Ste 130. Their own shop now, serving ice cream alongside our drinks, spices and coffee.

White Post, Marshall & Sperryville, VA

  • Shen-Val Farm Market — 2180 Fairfax Pike, White Post. A family-run Virginia Century Farm market just south of Winchester.
  • Half Past Moon Coffee Buzz — 8356 W. Main Street, Marshall. Coffee shop on Main Street, cold bottles in the case.
  • Off the Grid — Sperryville. A tasting-room café on the way to Shenandoah National Park's Thornton Gap entrance.

Just over the line in West Virginia

  • Good Natured Collective — 209 S. Raleigh St, Martinsburg. An independent natural-foods market and vegetarian café.
  • Bushel & Peck — 100 W. Washington St, Charles Town. A downtown year-round local-foods market carrying 60+ local producers.

And one further afield

  • Three Rivers Market — Knoxville, TN. A member-owned food co-op that's been going since 1981, and our first door outside the region.

(This list is current as of the date on this post, and we're in conversation with a few more shops in Northern Virginia. I keep this page honest — if a shop isn't listed, it isn't carrying it yet.)

Not near a shop yet? Two more ways to get it

Takeaway: If none of those are close, you can buy direct from me at a weekend farmers market, or have Sweet Mango Splash shipped anywhere in the U.S. from robbydslilgreens.com.

At a weekend farmers market. I sell it myself most weekends, and the person handing you the bottle is the person who runs the company. We're at four markets right now. On Saturdays: Fox Trax Farm Market, just off Route 522, and the Charles Town Farmers Market over in West Virginia. On Sundays: Archwood Green Barns Farmers' Market at The Plains and Farm to Market on Main on Main Street downtown. Markets shift seasonally, so the current schedule lives on the site.

Shipped to your door. It's a shelf-stable, ready-to-drink bottle with a two-year shelf life, so it ships fine — no cold pack needed. Order from robbydslilgreens.com and it comes to you anywhere in the U.S. That's also the move if you want to send some to someone out of state. If you're within about 45 miles of Front Royal, local delivery is free.

What it actually is, and where it comes from

Takeaway: Sweet Mango Splash is a mango drink first — filtered water and mango puree lead the label — with a broccoli-and-greens blend that carries the functional ingredients. The brand and I are based in the Shenandoah Valley; the drink itself is blended and bottled at a co-packer in Frederick, Maryland.

Let me be precise about this, because "local" gets used loosely and a stockist page is exactly where it should be pinned down.

The label reads, in order: filtered water, mango puree, apple juice concentrate, pineapple juice concentrate, gum arabic, then a vitamin and mineral blend (spirulina, broccoli sprout, spinach, broccoli, carrot, sweet potato, orange, apple, strawberry, sunflower seed, shiitake and maitake mushroom), natural flavors, citric acid and monk fruit extract. So it tastes like mango because it mostly is mango — the greens ride along inside that blend rather than dominating it. Broccoli sprout is where the sulforaphane conversation comes from, and that compound is well studied, but I'm selling you a drink, not a treatment.

On sugar: there are no added sugars on the label — 0g. The sweetness comes from the mango puree, the two juice concentrates and a little monk fruit. Juice concentrate is still sugar in the nutritional sense, and I'd rather say that plainly than hide behind the "no added sugar" line. It's 110 calories in a 12 oz bottle, 22g of sugar, all of it from the fruit.

On where it's from: Robby Ds Lil Greens is a Shenandoah Valley company, I live and farm here, and the shops above are my neighbors. The drink is blended and bottled at McCutcheon's, a co-packer in Frederick, Maryland — that's the right kind of facility to make a sealed, room-temperature-stable beverage safely, and it isn't something you do in a barn. Both things are true at once, and I'd rather you hear it from me than find it on the label and wonder what else got shaded.

FAQ

Where can I buy Sweet Mango Splash in Virginia?

At independent shops and cafés around the northern Shenandoah Valley: Dusty's Country Store and Ruby Yoga in Front Royal; The Giving Tree and The Apple House in Linden; New Town Mercantile and Daily Buzz Cafe in Stephens City (Daily Buzz is in Middletown too); Your Pure Store, West Oaks Farm Market, Geraghty's Micro Farm, Fleur de Lis Cheese Shop, Timber's Cafe and Uncle Beehive's Ice Cream in Winchester; Shen-Val Farm Market in White Post; Half Past Moon Coffee Buzz in Marshall; and Off the Grid in Sperryville. Also Good Natured Collective in Martinsburg, WV and Bushel & Peck in Charles Town, WV. You can buy direct at four weekend farmers markets, and it ships nationwide from robbydslilgreens.com.

Is it actually a Virginia product?

Partly, and here's the honest split. Robby Ds Lil Greens is a Shenandoah Valley company — that's where I live, where I farm, and where nearly every shop carrying it is. The drink itself is blended and bottled at a co-packer in Frederick, Maryland, because a sealed, shelf-stable beverage has to be produced in a facility built for it. So: a Virginia brand and a Virginia founder, bottled just over the Potomac.

Can I get it if I don't live in Virginia?

Yes — it's shelf-stable with a two-year shelf life and ships nationwide from robbydslilgreens.com, no cold pack required. There's also a co-op stocking it in Knoxville, Tennessee.

What is it?

Sweet Mango Splash is a ready-to-drink functional beverage: filtered water and mango puree lead the label, with a vitamin and mineral blend that includes broccoli sprout, broccoli, spirulina, spinach and several other fruits, vegetables and mushrooms. No added sugar (0g added sugars on the label — the sweetness is from the fruit and a little monk fruit extract). It's made to taste like mango, not like greens. This is food, not medicine, and it isn't intended to diagnose, cure or prevent any disease.

Will more Virginia shops carry it?

That's the plan, and this page stays current as shops are added. If you run a Virginia shop and want to stock it, reach out through robbydslilgreens.com.
